Job Description
Oversees the Accounting function for the company including, developing, communicating, and implementing accounting policies and procedures. Establishes the workflow and supervises accounting staff.

Directs all daily and month-end close activities

Recruits, hires, and supervises members of accounting department

Trains and develops team members
-
Maintains all reporting (i.e. productivity and accuracy) for departments

Balances all accounts payable & accounts receivable
-
Cash management functions including cash flow and cash projections

Delegates work in department in efficient and productive manner

Works with 1099 vendors to ensure compliance
-
Coordinates, reviews and approves all monthly account reconciliation

Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of accounting management experience. Candidate will also possess the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or closely related field

Strong knowledge of General Ledger charts of accounts and sub-account structure
-
Experience with General Ledger reconciliations; cash and debt accounts; fixed assets; payroll taxes

Experience working with outside auditors

Knowledge of personal computer and software applications (strong MS Excel experience necessary)

Must be able to multi-task and work with a variety of people

Ability to delegate work in department in efficient and productive manner

Ability to work through change and strategically align with organization's goals
